Happy Holidays!

We had a lovely Christmas with our families and friends and are headed out this morning to visit more family in Connecticut until the New Year.  Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season and may we all be blessed beyond measure in 2008!

Month Twenty-Three

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

On their way

This morning Cheri and Shane are on a plane bound for China to meet their daughter, Hope. We met Cheri and Shane on a trip to Savannah last year along with a number of other adopting families, and they are using the same agency as us, so we are especially excited and happy to see them travel. It has been such a long wait for all of us, it is always wonderful to share the joy and love as families are finally united! We will be following their journey every step and you can too. Their blog is here.

Update: They have her, she is beautiful, they are doing great - so amazing! The blog should have some pictures soon.

December referrals

It's official.  The one real rumor out there said the cut-off was December 14th and it turned out to be right.  Not a great accomplishment, but there you have it.  If things continue as they are, we expect a referral in March.  Should things speed up a little, we might see it happen in February...you never know.

Congratulations to all the families who are seeing their babies faces this week. What a great Christmas present they are receiving!
